Inclusive Leadership and Psychological Safety

Inclusive Leadership and Psychological Safety is a research-grounded course that develops the leadership behaviors needed to build team environments where diverse voices are heard and innovation thrives. Participants examine the neuroscience behind inclusive leadership and psychological safety, explore Timothy Clark's Four Stages of Psychological Safety, and apply evidence-based frameworks for mitigating bias, inviting dissent, and fostering belonging. The course addresses practical techniques applicable to leaders and team members at all levels. Learning outcomes:

  • Explain the research foundations of inclusive leadership and psychological safety and their impact on team performance
  • Identify the four stages of psychological safety and assess team climate across inclusion, learning, contribution, and challenger safety
  • Apply inclusive leadership behaviors to create environments where all team members can contribute and thrive
  • Enhance psychological safety through strategic communication, vulnerability modeling, and norms that support productive conflict
  • Transfer inclusive leadership principles to real workplace challenges through targeted action planning

Earning Criteria

  • Engagement: 70% of each module’s learning path is completed 
  • Progress: 50% of units have a pass score
  • Assessed Progress: A final test score of 70% or above
